Role Responsibilities
- Establish system architecture and design principles, instill engineering best practices, and set technical standards for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to develop and deliver technical solutions that optimize the customer experience.
- Provide technical guidance to senior management on the strategic technical direction for the organization.
- Decompose complex software projects into parallel workstreams for the engineering team, and then reintegrate the components into a cohesive product launch.
- Participate in hiring, as well as mentor engineers to improve their skills, product knowledge, and execution ability.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- You have at least 3 years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell or Ruby.
- You have over 4 years of professional software development experience in non-internship roles.
- You have over 4 years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement.
- At least 1 year of experience leading the development and deployment of reliable, scalable software solutions in production environments.
- Hands-on experience programming in Python, Java, Bash, or Perl.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and production operations.
- Proven ability to take a leading role in delivering complex software or computing infrastructure to customers.
